I am studying the Basic Studies in Photography (25 ECTS credits) at Tampere Summer University from autumn 2025 to spring 2027. The studies focus on independent artistic practice, photographic expression, and the development of my own artistic thinking.

The starting point for my final project is personal, but it also touches on the universal themes of memory and the preservation of memories. What happens to photographs and memories when our ability to remember begins to fade? Can art preserve something that might otherwise be lost?

The idea is simple, yet deeply meaningful to me: if one day my own memories begin to disappear, I hope this body of work will leave traces of the people I loved, the people I encountered, and the world that surrounded me.

My final project will be completed as part of my Basic Studies in Photography, and I will present the work in an exhibition at Pirkanmaan Muistiyhdistys (Pirkanmaa Memory Association) in March–April 2027.

This project is also a journey into photography, memory and human connection – an attempt to capture and preserve something that would otherwise inevitably change and eventually disappear.
